For those of you who may not have heard of Top Gear, Top Gear is a weekly car Programme shown on BBC2 in the UK. It features reviews on the latest most exciting cars form around the world and shows them in a refreshing format with Jeremy Clarkson leading the trio of presenters with his charismatic style of road testing. In the early series of Top Gear more run of the mill average cars were reviewed but in the last couple of years Top Gear has gone up market with super cars and high performance cars from the worlds most famous manufacturers.

Although some people have complained that the show has lost its real world roots the new format is undoubtedly more entertaining. The majority of the car footage shows the cars being taken to their limits around the Top Gear test track, power sliding for the sheer hell of it and taken to the their top speed on the Top Gear runway. The fact that when they are not hooning around the test track they are racing, whether it be on a European scale, public transport vs a supercar or mountain climbers versus your average German ubersaloon just adds to the programmes massive appeal.
